摘要：China's Yellow River Floodplain Resettlement (YRFR), as part of the national poverty alleviation initiative, has effectively reduced disaster exposure and improved infrastructure for over 600,000 resettled residents. The longterm sustainability of farmers' livelihoods and the post-resettlement support have been the key concerns of the Chinese government. This study evaluates the impact of China's Yellow River Floodplain Resettlement (YRFR) program on farmers' livelihood resilience, using 448 valid household survey data from Jinan, Shandong Province in 2024. Farmers' livelihood resilience were evaluated with the improved resilience framework including buffer capacity, self-organization, learning, and psychological adaptability and the PSM-DID model was incorporated the to examine the heterogeneous impact of resettlement on livelihood resilience from the perspective of farmer types. The results shows that pure agricultural households experienced the most severe decline in resilience, followed by semi-agricultural and non-agricultural households, reflecting the varying degrees of dependence on land-based livelihoods. Despite moderate improvements in psychological adaptability, declines in economic and organizational capacities suggest substantial adjustment challenges in the post-resettlement phase. As such, differentiated post-resettlement support policies that address the diverse vulnerabilities of resettled households were proposed including enhancing vocational training, improving social organization and access to public services, and strengthening risk-buffering mechanisms to promote sustainable livelihood recovery and prevent return to poverty.
